SWEETWATER CONSTRUCTION CORP.
COMPLETES WORK ON AMERICAN METRO CENTER
CRANBURY, N.J., JAN. , 2008 – Sweetwater Construction Corp., a recognized leader in New Jersey construction, management, and general contracting, recently completed preconstruction, general contracting, and tenant fit-out services for American Metro Center on American Metro Boulevard in Hamilton, New Jersey.
“We worked diligently with the owner, Preferred Real Estate Investments, Inc, and the architect, Blackney Hayes Architects, on completely restoring and modernizing this World War I era building,” said J. Scott Ferguson, president of Sweetwater Construction Corporation.
As the general contractor, Sweetwater re-constructed this former 750,000-square-foot standard sanitary manufacturing company factory into a 450,000-square-foot Class-A office space. The historic building was being stripped down to its original structural steel frame in an effort to re-build it so as to highlight the historic brick, glass, boilers and doors. The building features terracotta tile exteriors, mosaic design work, exposed red brick walls, near floor to ceiling window lines, exposed ceilings and skylights. Interior renovations include a cafeteria, health club, conference center, new building systems, as well as several tenant spaces.
American Metro Center is located at the southern end of the Princeton/Route 1 corridor, adjacent to the Hamilton Train Station, and within a quarter mile from Exit 65 on I-295/95, offering convenient access to Trenton, Princeton, Philadelphia, and New York City.
