SWEETWATER CONSTRUCTION CORP. ADDS THREE NEW SURGICAL
CENTERS TO ITS PORTFOLIO

CRANBURY, N.J., MONTH , 2008 – Sweetwater Construction Corp., a recognized leader in New Jersey construction management and general contracting, has an extensive portfolio of healthcare construction projects. To date, the firm has completed eleven surgery centers throughout the state of New Jersey.

Currently, Sweetwater is performing preconstruction services for Parsippany Properties (Morris County Surgical Center) in Parsippany, New Jersey. The project will include three operating and two endoscopy procedure rooms.

Sweetwater recently completed general contracting services for the renovation of the 7,800-square-foot Emmaus Surgery Center located off of Route 46 in Hackettstown, New Jersey. The center, developed by the Murphy Healthcare Group, LLC of Montvale, New Jersey, is a great example of adaptive reuse and features two operating rooms as well as recovery and pre-op areas. The design and finishes are important components of this project as they assist with marketing this beautiful medical complex to prospective clients. The architect for the project is JK Roller Architects, LLC of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Previous to the Emmaus Surgery Center, Sweetwater teamed up with JK Roller Architects, LLC and Murphy Healthcare Group, LLC for a to build Specialty Surgical Center in Sparta, New Jersey. Sweetwater performed general contracting services on this particular project. The facility features two Class-C operating rooms, private and regular recovery rooms and a pre-op area and the infrastructure includes an emergency generator, medical gasses piping, sprinkler system and an extensive HVAC system.

Other New Jersey surgery centers that Sweetwater Construction performed work on include the 8500 sqft Sea Oaks Surgery Center in Manahawkin, New Jersey, 7,500-square-foot Elite Surgery Center in Wayne, 6,500-square-foot Franklin Surgical Center in Basking Ridge, 7,500-square-foot South Jersey Surgery Center in Mt. Laurel, 17,000-square-foot Hudson Crossing Surgical Center in Fort Lee, 23,000-square-foot Short Hills Surgical Center in Millburn, 4,500-square-foot Precision Surgical Center in East Brunswick and the 5,500-square-foot Middlesex Surgery Center in Edison.
