Bettyjane Watkins Joins Sweetwater Construction Corp. As Director Of Business Development

CRANBURY, N.J. 01-18-2010 – Sweetwater Construction Corp, one of New Jersey’s most prominent construction management and general contracting companies, has announced that Bettyjane Watkins has joined the company as director of business development.

As director of business development, Ms. Watkins will foster the growth of Sweetwater Construction -- cultivating relationships with new clients in all markets as well as maintaining and nurturing existing relationships. As a member of the management team, Watkins will participate in the strategic planning process, implement special programs to attract new business and create novel ways to promote and strengthen the Sweetwater brand. She will also act as a client advocate on Sweetwater projects, promoting open and effective team communication.

Sweetwater, which is headquartered in Cranbury, N.J., is a recognized leader in New Jersey construction management and general contracting, serving clients in the corporate, healthcare, science and technology, hospitality, multi-family and institutional sectors. Watkins was previously employed at the Princeton, N.J.-based integrated architecture, engineering and planning design firm, HDR CUH2A, as director of business development and marketing. There she was responsible for developing new business in the higher education market sector for science and technology.

Watkins obtained her bachelor’s degree in geography and an environmental planning certificate from Rowan University in Glassboro, N.J. She is currently working on a master’s degree in organizational dynamics at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pa. Additionally, Watkins has a LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) AP (accredited professional) designation from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
